Project progress update
- Planning application approved
- Great Crested Newt Licence approved
- Existing newt fencing has been repaired
- Detection dogs have been used as part of newt management – no newts found.
- Contracts with WCC and Griffiths have been finalised and formally entered into.
Site Mobilisation
- Site mobilisation commenced this week (Monday 20 April 20206) at the Village Hall area.
- Current works are focusing on setting up the site compound.
- Stone is being imported to raise the cabin bases (flood prevention).
Upcoming Works
- Ongoing site set-up will continue next week.
- Vegetation clearance is planned to commence on 5 May 2026.
- A temporary access track will be provided for farmers.
- Works on Ham Lane and the associated temporary access arrangements will commence.
