Welcome to the website of Severn Stoke & Croome d'Abitot Parish Council

The two parish areas of Severn Stoke and Croome d'Abitot are situated on the east bank of the River Severn, to the south of the City of Worcester and alongside the A38. 70 years ago, the two parish areas agreed to combine for administration purposes and for the betterment of their communities. Councillors on the parish council chose to stand for and represent either area, making sure that every local voice is heard equally.

The Parish is comprised mainly of the rural settlements of Kinnersley, Severn Stoke, High Green, Croome and Clifton (in no particular order). Each settlement retains its own identity and is surrounded by open space. There are also the hamlets of Sandford, Dunstall, Birch Green and Naunton (near Kinnersley).

Situated in Kinnersley is the thriving and traditional village pub The Royal Oak. In Severn Stoke village, is the thriving and pretty pub The Rose and Crown. Also in Severn Stoke is our 12th century church St Denys, which is well worth a visit.

We have many beautiful walks in the area, and we recommend the Severn Stoke & River Severn Circular walk - which takes in a section of the Severn Way and the permissive footpaths beside wildlife pools resulting from quarrying. The views from the Panorama Tower are spectacular - built by the Coventry family as a point to survey the Croome estate at Croome Court (now partly managed by the National Trust).

Our Parish Council Logo shows the eye-catching Panorama Tower at the very edge of the wider Croome estate in the parish and managed by the National Trust. It stands as a magnificent sentinel overlooking the Malvern Hills and miles of beautiful countryside.
